Hindu Greek

There is an interesting inscription at Besnagar in western India on a pillar erected by a certain Heliodorus, who was the envoy of king Antialkidas of Taxila to the king of Besnagar, perhaps one of the later Shungas, in which he (Heliodorus) pro- fesses to be a follower of Vasudeva, associated with the god Vishnu, and obviously, though Greek, he had become a convert to Hinduism. But the Bactrian kings did not hold Taxila for very long.
